Educational purpose

Spark Vocab provides vocabulary-learning material and automated practice feedback. The service does not guarantee a particular examination result, language level or learning outcome.

AI sentence-checking allowances

A visitor may receive five Spark Vocab AI sentence checks through a temporary anonymous Firebase account. A registered Free account includes 20 checks per calendar month (UTC). An active Spark Vocab Plus subscription includes up to 1,000 checks per calendar day (UTC). A short-term rate limit also applies to all accounts. Cached results and locally rejected submissions may not use an allowance. Attempts to bypass technical limits or abuse the checking service are not permitted.

Plus subscriptions

Spark Vocab Plus is offered at US$4.99 per month or US$39.99 per year. Checkout and recurring payments are processed by Stripe. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel or update payment details through the Stripe customer portal from your Spark Vocab account page. A canceled subscription normally remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

Payment problems and refunds

If a payment fails or a subscription becomes inactive, Plus access may be suspended and the account will return to the Free allowance. Charges are non-refundable after a billing period begins except where a refund is required by law or Spark Vocab expressly agrees otherwise.

Automated feedback

Sentence feedback is generated through the OpenAI API and may be incomplete or mistaken. Learners and teachers should use judgment and report apparent errors. Learners must not submit private personal information or instructions unrelated to sentence practice.

References to the New General Service List, Oxford 5000 and Longman Communication 3000 identify list membership only. Spark Vocab is not affiliated with or endorsed by the publishers of those lists.

Service availability

Features, stored progress, published vocabulary content, prices and page structure may change. Spark Vocab may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, misuse prevention or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
